In addition to a great evening of camaraderie and inspiration with Michelle Sourie Robinson, the Tribute to Excellence – Champion of Yes, has another very important purpose: raising money to fund research, heighten awareness and expand the portfolio of important services the Arthritis Foundation offers to aid in the prevention, control and cure of this debilitating disease. Together, we make a difference.
Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in America. It knows no boundaries – affecting 1 in 4 adults – 66% of those who are under the age of 65. And much to the surprise of many, kids get arthritis too. In fact, there are more children with arthritis than those with Juvenile Diabetes and Cystic Fibrosis combined.
Arthritis robs people of life’s pleasures and, at times, their livelihood. It induces a spirit of No. Champion of Yes is an attitude, a motto… a rallying cry. It’s standing up to adversity and telling the world that No is unacceptable – that arthritis won’t stop you or anyone else from finding YES – achieving goals and living a happy and productive life.
The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. Leading the fight for the arthritis community, the Arthritis Foundation helps conquer everyday battles through life-changing information and resources, access to optimal care, advancements in science and community connections.
